I can not connect my watch to the Norm app
- Make sure the Bluetooth is on in the phone’s settings menu.
- Make sure the Norm 2 is fully charged.
- Try to reinstall the app and make sure that the Norm 2 is not already connected in the phone’s Bluetooth settings.
- Do not connect to Norm 2 in the phone’s Bluetooth menu. Pair directly inside the app.
- Make sure the Norm 2 is close to your mobile device when connecting.
- Please make sure that you have downloaded the correct Norm app.
My Norm app is not working correct and looks like the old Norm 1 app
We’ll be rolling out the app initially as a Beta version. This allows us to keep improving performance, stability, and features through regular updates in the weeks and months ahead.
We’re also continuing work on the app user interface. To ensure a smooth start, you’ll initially be onboarded using our current, proven user interface, and we’ll roll out the new UI updates once everything is fully validated and working exactly as intended.
The watch won’t charge
- Confirm all cables are connected.
- Remove the watch from the charging base and place it back on.
- Repeat a few times if needed.
- Make sure the protective film on the back of the watch is removed.
- If it still won’t charge, connect the base to a different USB charger.
- Let the watch stay on the charger for a bit. Sometimes it needs to wake the battery.
I don’t receive texts or notifications on the watch
Step 1: Norm app settings
- In the NORM app: Settings → Notifications.
- Turn on the notification types you want on the watch.
Step 2: Phone settings
- Enable push notifications for the relevant apps in your phone settings.
- Allow the NORM app to send notifications.
- Enable notifications to the Notification Center for the relevant apps.
- Set Show Previews to Always.
- In the NORM app: Settings → Notifications → turn everything you need ON.
- In the NORM app: Settings → Unpair.
- Remove the watch from the phone’s Bluetooth device list.
- Re-pair using the NORM app (do not pair in the phone’s Bluetooth menu).
The watch suddenly shows the wrong time
- Open the NORM app.
- Go to Settings → Calibration.
- Follow the in-app instructions.
During calibration, make sure both hands are at 12 when adjusting. Do not set the time manually on the watch. The most common mistake is setting the hands to the correct time, which prevents auto-calibration from working.
The watch repeats old notifications
This can happen if the watch disconnects and reconnects. Clear old notifications from your phone’s Notification Center to prevent repeats.
How do I turn off notifications on the watch?
- In the NORM Connect app: Settings → Notifications → choose what gets sent to the watch.
- To disable a specific app entirely, change that app’s push notification setting in your phone’s system settings (also affects phone notifications).
The heart rate sensor is not working
- On the watch: open the heart rate screen. The watch registers your heart rate after a few seconds.
- In the app: Settings → Heart Rate Monitor → enable auto tracking if desired.
- Wear the watch firmly on your wrist for best results.
Step tracking is not working
- Give it time—sometimes sensors need a short period to begin tracking.
- Restart the watch: hold down the crown → power off. To turn on again, press the crown for a couple of seconds.
- Try a short run to trigger tracking.
- Disconnect the watch and reconnect it to the app.
Make sure the watch is fully charged. On first use, tracking may not start until the watch has been on for 24+ hours. The step counter resets at 12:00 (midnight).
Steps / distance / calorie tracking looks inaccurate
In the app, update your personal data (height/weight/etc.). Open Settings and tap the round grey profile icon in the top-left.
How do I turn off vibration on the watch?
- Swipe down on the clock/date screen to open settings.
- Tap the icon with two rippled parallel lines to toggle vibration on/off.
How do I set the brightness of the watch?
- Swipe down on the clock/date screen to open settings.
- Tap the circle icon to cycle brightness up/down.
How do I update the weather?
The weather app on the watch updates when the watch is synced with the app.
How do I see an old message or notification on the watch?
- Swipe up on the clock/date screen to open notifications.
- You’ll find folders for missed calls, texts, notifications, and emails.
How do I see my recent exercise sessions?
Go to the Training menu and tap the small icon that looks like a weight lifting tool. To exit menus, press the watch crown.
How do I see the 3 days weather forecast?
Open the weather forecast screen and swipe up, or use the crown to scroll.
How do I stop an exercise or the breathing app?
To stop, simply press the watch crown.
Notifications show only phone numbers, not contact names
- Confirm the app has permission to access contacts (phone OS privacy settings).
- Update the app to the latest version available for your device.
- If it still persists, it may be a known limitation/bug in some app versions.
